Mac’s wonderful sense of adventure has taken him to all of the stone cutting gem centers of the world. He can regularly be seen in the jade market of Canton and the cutting factories of Bangkok and Sri Lanka, as well as the design studios of Rome and Florence Italy.
His first job in the jewelry industry began in 1956, as a traveling salesman for a colored stone company. It didn’t take long before he was compelled to design mountings to display these beautiful stones. In 1968, after an extended journey around the world going to such places as Japan, Hong Kong, India, Brazil, Sri Lanka, and Italy, he started his own business and continues to search for wonderful stones and to create beautiful designs. His inspiration comes from nature, and his passion to bring harmony and a flow between stones and gold keeps the fire going.
